Never Better

Work took my husband away for six long weeks.  I spent 42 lonely days without him. I, not-so-patiently, counted down the 1008 hours till his return. And this weekend he came home.

Since his arrival I have been walking on cloud nine. You can’t wipe the smile off my face. I feel complete again. For six weeks I was unable to get a good nights sleep and continually felt like something was missing. Since he has been home, I have actually slept for 8 hours straight and it feels good. All I can say to him is “I’m so glad you are home”.

My house is a mess and we are trying to re-acclimate to our shared life. But that’s the funny thing about being without my spouse for 6 long weeks.  I don’t mind his giant shoes lying in the middle of the hallway, his dirty dishes left around the house, or the mounds of laundry he brought home, cause truth be told I missed everything about him while he was gone.

–>Sometimes you need a break to remember why you got married in the first place. Six weeks is a long time though…glad you’re both back together again.

Great blog… made my heart smile.

Doesn’t the sour make the sweet so much better?

Aaaaahhhh……he has turned you into a big ol’ mush face too! Love it! I will remember your blog next time I’m picking up shoes and cleaning dishes :)

  4. Six weeks?! And I thought one week here and there was unbearably long. Enjoy the re-acclimation!

Also, this photograph is great. LOVE!

  5. P.S. I noticed that you want to outdoor rock climb before you die. If we ever meet, I’ll take you. Climbing is my one big love; and it’s how Donald and I met =)
