Orange Power

In Oklahoma, college football is serious business. People take their football quite seriously. I was lucky enough to be able to go to the first football game of the Oklahoma State Cowboy’s 2009-10 season (thanks again Dad).  And if you have never been to a football game for one of the teams of the Big 12, you ain’t seen nothing yet.

These games are all day events filled with hamburgers, hotdogs, pizza, parades, music, memorabilia vendors, and all the orange your heart can handle. It’s a pretty amazing event and this is all before kick-off.

Once the game gets started, you are surrounded by a sea of orange. It’s pretty amazing and pretty addictive.

And yeah, that’s a horse, Bullet, on the field. Hey, we are in Oklahoma folks.

–>I love college football and everything that goes with it. You’re right, there’s nothing like being at the game.

It’s amazing to me how other places take their college sports so seriously. When I was a college rower we were lucky to have a friend or two show up to our races. And the football games were not much better.
