Sites of Quebec

We only spent two full days in Quebec so we didn’t get to see all the sites and sounds of the beautiful city. But we did a “fly-by” walking tour of “Old” Quebec. It was really amazing. Like stepping right into a northern France village. The coolest tid-bit I learned on my trip is that some of the scenes in “Catch Me If You Can” were filmed in the Petit Champlain section of Quebec. You know the scene where Tom Hanks is about to catch Leo Dicaprio’s character. Yeah that’s the one. The scene is set in France but they actually it in Quebec. I thought that was pretty nifty.

I need to get myself to Quebec as a grown up on my own time. I think the last time I went through there I was 16 or 17 and I was traveling with my parents, so I don’t remember seeing the touristy sites.

It was so cool. Mitch had been as a kid but he totally appreciated more as an adult. You should go back. The one thing I didn’t get any pictures of and should have was all the art. We spent so much time going into art stores. It was like having free access to art museums!
