Shelby the Wonder Mutt has a new sidekick, a partner in crime, a Robin to her Batman. We are pleased to introduce Wynett, The Super Freak.
So let’s just say that in this partnership The Wonder Mutt is the brains of the operation and The Super Freak is braun.
These two get a long like any super hero sisters would. Most of the time they tolerate each other and may even go as far as to say they like each other. But every once in while the fur stands on end and there are some nips at legs and ears. Oh, sisters.

On a late summer day, I again tried my hand at self portraits. Never my strong suite cause I’m a bit impatient. I was trying this at mid-day so the sun was really harsh. Finding the right location and camera placement took about 15 minutes (and 30 photos). Regardless of my efforts to take an awesome picture, the best picture still required a lot of editing.
Despite all my hard work on the self portrait, Shelby, the consummate professional model, was able to strike these poses and put me to shame in mere seconds.

The Wonder Mutt is never to be outdone.

Work took my husband away for six long weeks. I spent 42 lonely days without him. I, not-so-patiently, counted down the 1008 hours till his return. And this weekend he came home.
Since his arrival I have been walking on cloud nine. You can’t wipe the smile off my face. I feel complete again. For six weeks I was unable to get a good nights sleep and continually felt like something was missing. Since he has been home, I have actually slept for 8 hours straight and it feels good. All I can say to him is “I’m so glad you are home”.
My house is a mess and we are trying to re-acclimate to our shared life. But that’s the funny thing about being without my spouse for 6 long weeks. I don’t mind his giant shoes lying in the middle of the hallway, his dirty dishes left around the house, or the mounds of laundry he brought home, cause truth be told I missed everything about him while he was gone.

In Oklahoma, college football is serious business. People take their football quite seriously. I was lucky enough to be able to go to the first football game of the Oklahoma State Cowboy’s 2009-10 season (thanks again Dad). And if you have never been to a football game for one of the teams of the Big 12, you ain’t seen nothing yet.

These games are all day events filled with hamburgers, hotdogs, pizza, parades, music, memorabilia vendors, and all the orange your heart can handle. It’s a pretty amazing event and this is all before kick-off.

Once the game gets started, you are surrounded by a sea of orange. It’s pretty amazing and pretty addictive.

And yeah, that’s a horse, Bullet, on the field. Hey, we are in Oklahoma folks.
Howdy Y’all! I’m back from my blog-cation. Here’s a preview of what happened while I was away.

Check back on Monday morning for my daily blogs.

Surrounding the harbor where the tall ships were located are beautiful homes. Gigantic homes. I just can’t image how you keep a house that huge clean. I mean, my tiny house is filthy and my landscaping doesn’t look anything like this.
I love architecture, especially homes. With each home I like to image my life there. The great thing about architecture in The Great White North is that some of the homes were built hundreds of years ago. So when I image my life in that house I can visualize myself living there a hundred years ago and what my life would be like.
I love driving around on a lazy Sunday and making up these little stories in my head with every home I pass.
